Buy cheap, buy twice as the saying goes...

With the increasing number of products available to buy, it can be very confusing as a consumer to know what will suit your needs best. The development in LED lighting products in the past few years has been fast and with no european regulations stating what they need to be, (wattage versus light output) there is a lot of sub-standard product out there offering ridiculous warranties on something that won't last one switching cycle before it gives up. We have many years experience of all types of lighting products and have seen the evolution of LED lighting from concept to world domination. There is no doubt that LED, is, in many scenarios the best option but, and there is a but... you need to be sure it is the right type of LED before you part with your money. Price is a large factor and as a general rule the cheaper the product, the cheaper the components and although the products side by side may look the same, chances are the cheaper one won't last even half as long as the dearer so it becomes a false economy. There is a caveat to this though and there are companies who will sell a cheap product at a high price, we can help weed these out as we know what to look for when it comes to reliable lighting! The other thing to consider is the actual spread of light and the cheaper products generally don't offer great light distribution. Now, we don't want to get too techy on you if you just want some lights but it is a very important factor to consider because if the beam angle and spread is not right for the application, chances are you will not get the most out of your installation. There are many other factors involved beyond the information we've just given you but it's a good start!
